1930 - 1945 - Transition of the company administration to the second generation under Ernst Heitmann.
After August Strothlücke´s death in 1930, his wife Johanna took over the management of the business until her death in 1937. While August Strothlücke was still alive, he had employed a meat merchant named Ernst Heitmann, who faithfully supported August Strothlücke for many years. and was significantly responsible for the further development of the company.
The second generation of the company began with the marriage of August Strothlückes daughter Elfriede to Ernst Heitmann. Ernst Heitmann was the ideal successor to his father-in-law as a hard working and daring business man and as a man with a friendly and social mentality.
Unfortunately, World War II made it quite difficult for Ernst and Elfriede to run the business successfully and without interruption. Nevertheless, with Westphalian perseverance and determination they succeeded with the difficult task of rebuilding the company.
