2003 – 2009 - The fourth generation plans further expansion.

In 2005 both Kai and Christian Heitmann, descendants of the former founder, join the company. Since then, in responsible positions, they skilfully run the family business.

In order to meet demands of the national and international market extensive investment was made in the Verl plant in 2006. Along with an expansion and reconstruction of the administration facilities, the employee’s social and changing rooms were brought up to a high modern standard and new machinery purchased to modernise and expand the production.

A further foundation stone was also laid in 2008. Astro purchased an urgently needed neighbouring tract of land. Property and technical investment to secure the production location in Verl for the following generations is a part of the company management’s long-term plan.
